Box Chain
A box chain is made up of square links square, resembling a box, which are connected. It is a sturdy chain and would look great with a charm or pendant hanging from it.
Cable Chain
Cable chain consists of uniform round or oval links of wire that are connected to form a chain. Cables are the simplest and commonly used jewelry chain. Cables are frequently altered by flattening the links, texturing the metal surface or drawing/elongating the links. Double cables use two links side by side for each chain link position. Flat cable chains have the links hammered flat, instead of being of round wire.
Curb Chain
The word “curb” comes from Middle English, originally meaning “a curved piece of wood.” Curb chains are comprised of special curved links which interlock even while laid flat. The links can all be the same size or be graduated towards the center. Chunky curb chains are used to make trendy urban designs.
Snake Chain
A tubular chain made from assembled curved plates. Snake chains are highly flexible and have a solid appearance instead of open links.
